Mo Smith has been riding motorcycles since she was a little kid. She bought her first motorcycle in 1977, a Kawasaki 90, and has owned and ridden ever since. Currently, Mo rides a 2006 Harley-Davidson Ultra Classic. Mo is passionate about motorcycling and bringing that experience to all riders, but new riders in particular. She has been a Rider Coach since 2005. When not helping to fulfill the dream of motorcycling you can find Mo teaching math to high school students! Mo is actively involved in the local HOG Chapter and has held executive positions there for several years.

Jeffrey Thompson is the CEO/General Manager and a Partner for Motorcycle Riding Concepts. Jeff is a retired Police Sergeant from a large suburban Washington DC police department. Jeff has owned, built, and operated motorcycles both on and off-road for over 45 years, of which 30 years was with the police department. Jeff rode as a Motor Officer and Supervisor for 12 years and has been a certified Motorcycle Instructor since 1988. Jeff incorporates his 12 years as a Crash Reconstruction Detective and Supervisor in his overall approach to dynamic motorcycle training. Jeff has won many competition honors both locally and nationally. Additionally, Jeff has had the opportunity to instruct students from across the USA and abroad. Jeff is passionate and dedicated to the pursuit of riding excellence for all riders.

This two-day course (8 hours across two days) is designed for students who have successfully completed the Basic RiderCourse, Intermediate Rider Course or have riding experience and want to improve their skills significantly.

The Advanced Skills Course includes:

  • Review of basic concepts and techniques
  • Advanced brake and escape collision avoidance maneuvers
  • Foreign obstacle avoidance maneuvers and techniques
  • Advanced cornering techniques
  • Advanced braking in a curve technique
  • Cone course skills demonstration and practice
  • Student practice and instructor evaluation

You may opt to take the course on our motorcycle or yours. The base fee of $330 includes riding on one of our Suzuki TU 250 motorcycles or your personal motorcycle. You may opt to ride one of our Harley-Davidson Road Kings or Dyna for an additional fee of $100 or our Harley-Davidson Street 500 for an additional $75.
